Unusual 20m condx

At 1715 NZT W6's SSB loud and clear but VK's usually S9 were inaudible. Propagation remains unpredictable.

20 Metres

Contacts with NB7PX LZ4UU 9K2GS - Random wire here with 90 watts.

20 Metres is interesting

Though VK signals were very strong from 1500 - 1600NZT enjoyed very good USB contacts with NB7PX LZ4UU and 9K2GS. 90 watts here (Yaesu 767) and a random wire.

Long Path QSO

A good contact with Leo 4Z5JM 0n 14185kHz at 4.40Z.

Opening on 20 metres

Today at 0410Z - made a CQ USB on 14180 - back came W5IZ near Dallas Texas - Excellent QSO at 5-9+ both ways - then the band dropped out very quickly just as 10 metres used to do. 73 de ZL1AQ

UPDATE

Good propogation on 80 metres at 2100Z. Contacted ZL2BEQ PAUL and ZL2ASO BOB.

LOW BAND ACTIVITY

Checked 40 and 20 metres at 0315Z. No ham sigs heard on 40 and only one busy frequency on 20 with 9K2SG working USA. W5YU was the only USA station heard.
